Woohoo! This Walker is taking a week off work :-D

The train departs in less time than I care to consider, and then I'm away to the farm. Back to my roots, for the yearly reminders and reiterations. Time to wander aimlessly across 5,000 acres of my childhood; to eat and eat and eat (fresh eggs, milk, meat and fruit all homegrown); to pick up on old arguments with siblings; to be amazed at how much the nieces and nephew are growing up each year; to remember how amazing ma and pa actually are; to be woken at 6.30 am by energetic kids; to sweat and hide from 40+ celsius heat (yes, we have white Christmasses - blindingly, searingly white); to eat some more, and then drink a bit, and eat a bit more; and then realise, again, that everyone's getting older.

Sigh. Oh well. Like death and taxes, Christmas is inevitable. May as well enjoy it as much as possible while it's here, eh?

So go on, have a happy Christmas, I dare you.

I've been neglecting you, dear Fotolog. Caught up in other eddies in the stream, and my attendance here has faltered - there're only so many things I can do in a day, and we all know how addictive and time-consuming fotolog can be ... aaanyways, just a quick note to say I haven't forgotten about you, to those who still linger here and those who lurk waiting to be found. Fotolog is home to some of the most creative and productive people I've ever "met," not to mention friendly. So, yeah ... I'll be around again. Seeya.

Ha ha ha. The more I read in tyour fotolog, the more amazed I get :P
I, unfortunatelly, never had the priviledge of childhood in a farm. Though, because of this general culture that we just see so much in movies, this situation you described seems to me so normal. Odd, aye?
Nice picture, too. Reminds me of that place in hollywood where famous people put their foot prints. Oh wait, no, they print their hands on the ground, not feet... Nevermind, then.

Hey Mr Walker - hope you enjoyed Christmas with your family & had a good New Year's Eve. My time has been spent with home based rehabilitation (physios, occupational therapists, speech therapists etc). Not a lot of fun but my recovery is progressing well. You haven't seen any new photos from me because my camera was stolen from me during my stay at the rehab hospital, damnit. Not to mention the fact that my reduced mobility makes it hard to scale railway fences like I used to.

We'll have to catch up sometime soon - like in real life i mean. Let's not let my decision to stop smoking mean that I stop my friendship with you too. That would be a damn shame. I'm still keen to come and see your new house, also. By the way, how is it?

El dia 21 de OCTUBRE Fotolog.com se hara pago totalmente, dejara de existir el tema Gold, puesto que los que no paguen no tendran acceso al fotolog dierectamnete.
Sin embargo algunos gratis quedaran.
Copia y pega este mensaje en al menos 7 usuarios de Fotolog.com y te aparecera un gif animado en la proxima actualizacion que hagas; con eso ya estas protegido y podras seguir usando este servicio gratuitamente.

Por favor, aunque no lo creas, hazlo.Otros pueden hacerlo y seguir usando fotolog
